Tokugawa Ieyasu (January 31, 1543 – June 1, 1616), born Matsudaira Takechiyo and later taking other names, was the founder and first shōgun of the Tokugawa Shogunate of Japan, which ruled from 1603 until the Meiji Restoration in 1868. He was one of the three "Great Unifiers" of Japan, along with his former lord Oda Nobunaga and fellow Oda subordinate Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The son of a minor daimyo, Ieyasu once lived as a hostage under daimyo Imagawa Yoshimoto on behalf of his father. He later succeeded as daimyo after his father's death, serving as a vassal and general of the Oda clan, and building up his strength under Oda Nobunaga.(C) Wikipedia

The eldest son of Higuchi Kanetoyo, Kanetsugu was famed for his service to two generations of the Uesugi daimyōs. He was also known by his court title, Yamashiro no Kami or his childhood name, Higuchi Kanetsugu. Kanetsugu served first as a koshō to Uesugi Kenshin. After Kenshin had died, he served as Karō to Kagekatsu, the adopted son of Kenshin. He was the Tenka-bito (lit. Hideyoshi later united Japan in 1591 and invaded Korea a year later. Marcus Nonius Macrinus war ein römischer Senator des 2. Jahrhunderts n. Chr. und Suffektkonsul im Jahr 154. Verschiedene Inschriften deuten darauf, dass Nonius Macrinus came from Brescia in northern Italy. His senatorial career is known from an inscription on the base of a statue that was erected for him on the agora in Ephesus, Asia Minor. Accordingly, he was Decemvir stlitibus iudicandis, military tribune of a legion, quaestor, legate in the province of Asia, tribune of the people, praetor, legate of Legio XIV, suffect consul in 154 AD and curator Tiberis et alveorum. After his governorship in the province of Pannonia inferior, his legacy in Pannonia superior was first made tangible through a military diploma dated June 21, 159. Subsequently, Nonius Macrinus was a legate and military companion (comes) of the emperor Mark Aurel during the Marcomannic Wars (166-180) and priest of the deified Lucius Verus. In the year of office 170/171 he was proconsul of the province of Asia, where the statue in Ephesus was erected for him due to unspecified merits.
