Among the elite forces of the Wehrmacht, the Großdeutschland Division stood as the crown jewel — the ace of aces! Originating from the Berlin Guard Regiment, the division was expanded into a Panzergrenadier Division in 1942 and later upgraded to a Panzer Division. As the elite of the elite, this unit received priority equipment allocations and was manned by battle-hardened veterans with exceptional combat effectiveness. The GD fought with particular distinction on the Eastern Front, participating in pivotal battles including the Battle of Moscow, the Battle of Kursk, and the Dnepr River Defensive Operations. In the war’s final stages, the division repeatedly distinguished itself in the breakout battles from the Courland Pocket and East Prussia, earning its well-deserved nickname: “The Fire Brigade of the East.” DID proudly presents the D80195 1/6 WWII German GD Infantry Mortarman – Bruno and D80196 1/6 WWII German GD Infantry Officer – Jakob! D80195 Bruno’s headsculpt is super realistic, with a determined and composed gaze. D80196 Jakob features furrowed brows with a stern, solemn expression — the barely concealed intensity in his eyes hints at a seasoned warrior’s lethal edge. Both headsculpts are meticulously crafted, achieving remarkable lifelike detail and expressive authenticity. Bruno wears the WWII German grey field tunic and trousers, with a grey shirt inside. He wears a metal helmet on his head, a black genuine-leather belt around his waist, and a pair of brown leather ankle boots on his feet. Jakob is outfitted in camouflage field tunic and trousers. He can wear the visor cap or the steel helmet. A genuine-leather belt and a pair of black genuine-leather jackboots complete his field-ready appearance. Bruno is not only equipped with a compact bayonet and genuine-leather scabbard, but also a G43 rifle — meticulously reproduced in metal and wood construction. Developed to counter the Soviet SVT-40, the G43 offered rapid fire, excellent handling, and superior accuracy, providing precise covering fire in combat. Three rifle rounds ensure Bruno’s always battle-ready. What’s more, there is also a GRW34 mortar, constructed from metal and polymer components. The GRW34 served as the core support weapon at German infantry battalion level, specifically designed to neutralize enemy machine gun nests, sniper positions, foxholes, and forward fortifications. There are also two brown mortar rounds and one green mortar round. What a complete set for the mortarman! Jakob is equipped with a formidable P38 pistol with genuine-leather holster, plus the legendary MP40 submachine gun with functional magazine for simulated loading, accompanied by five bullets. Renowned for its compact design, devastating firepower, and remarkably low recoil, the MP40 delivered exceptional accuracy within effective range — unmatched precision even during sustained automatic fire. He is also supplied with two brown rounds and one green round. In addition to the basic accessories such as bread bag, canteen, mess tin and shovel, Bruno is also equipped with a fabric G43 ammo pouch, black genuine-leather ammo pouch, a versatile triangular camouflage zeltbahn, and a sight. What’s more, there is also an exquisitely crafted wooden GRW34 mortar ammo box capable of storing three mortar rounds. Jakob is equipped with a premium genuine-leather map case, precision metal compass, observation binoculars, and a metal sight storage case. For communications, he carries a field telephone. Additionally, a fully metal ammunition box is provided for round storage — substantial, rugged, and built to endure.
