Friedrich Wilhelm Ernst Paulus (* 23. September 1890 in Guxhagen; † 1. Februar
1957 in Dresden-Ober Loschwitz) war ein deutscher Heeresoffizier (ab 1943
Generalfeldmarschall) und im Zweiten Weltkrieg Oberbefehlshaber der 6. Armee
während der Schlacht von Stalingrad. Paulus war von 1943 bis 1953 in
sowjetischer Kriegsgefangenschaft und lebte danach bis zu seinem Tod in der
