Very nice done Cushman Scooter Model M53A that wasused by the US Airborne Forces during WW-II from the D-Day landings until the end of the war. On airborne operations it would arrive on the battle field either by glider or by parachute. When dropped by parachute the parachute was clipped straight onto the scooter by means of two D-rings, one on top of the frame just behind the petrol tank and the other at the top of the inverted V frame just below the handle bars, the shock of the landing being absorbed by the larger tyres.
