William Adams (später japanisch: Miura Anjin) - * 24. September 1564 in Gillingham, Kent; † 16. Mai 1620 in Hirado, Nagasaki) reiste als erster Engländer nach Japan, lebte dort bis zu seinem Tod und ist vermutlich der erste Europäer, der den Titel eines Samurai erhielt.
